In today’s economic environment, where every community has to carefully balance expenditures with revenue, your Montgomery Public Works Department (MPWD) has done it again. Our City is blessed with an engaged and responsible staff, always on watch to make sure that our tax dollars spend further. In this season between giving thanks for all that we have and coming up with a wish list for what we would like to have, it’s a good time to ponder this question. Overall, we have a lot to be thankful for and some wishes to be cognizant of. In this wonderful season, wishing each of you well and hoping that yours is a positive answer to the question, ‘Why do we live in Montgomery?’

December 31, 2014 is on the horizon, and for the City this will be a particularly difficult day for us as we bid a fond adieu to Frank Davis, a fourteen year veteran and public servant of the City of Montgomery with over thirty-four years working in the field of planning and community and economic development. We are very happy for Frank to reach this milestone in his career, yet, quite selfishly, we are sad for the community and for ourselves, anticipating the loss of such a professional, with such a work ethic and a belief in doing the “right thing” for the community

It is played with a perforated plastic ball (similar to a wiffle ball) and wood or composite paddles (similar to large ping pong paddles). The game can be played as singles (one person per side) or doubles (two people per side). It is easy for beginners to learn, and can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. Are you interested?
