City will conduct limited spring curbside brush pick up
The Montgomery Public Works Department will again be providing a spring curbside bulk brush collection of brush and limbs. The spring program is scheduled to begin on April 13 and will be conducted over a five-week period. Pick up weeks are determined by regular trash collection schedules. Please have brush out at the curb by Monday morning of your collection week.

Safety Village Returns in 2015!
The City of Montgomery will again conduct Safety Village this summer for children ages 5 and 6 only. The first session is scheduled from June 15-19, 2015 and the second session will be presented from June 22-26. Registration begins April 27 for Montgomery residents and May 4 for non-residents.

Spring Plant Swap Scheduled
Montgomery’s Beautification and Tree Commission will sponsor its 20th annual Spring Plant Swap on April 25th from 9-11 a.m. in the City Hall parking lot. The event is free and open to the public.

Pfeiffer Road Tree Removal Project to Commence April 6
On Monday April 6, weather permitting; Barrett Paving Materials, Inc. will be removing several trees on Pfeiffer Road just west of Montgomery Road as part of the Ohio Department of Transportation’s (ODOT) “Pfeiffer Road and Montgomery Road Improvement Project”.

Free Arbor Day Walk planned
The City of Montgomery will commemorate Arbor Day with an informative commentary and walk through Montgomery Park, hosted by the City Arborist Terry Willenbrink. The free walk through beautiful Montgomery Park is planned for Friday April 24.

Safety Awareness Day-April 25
The annual Safety Awareness Day will be held on Saturday, April 25, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This free family event will be held at the Montgomery Safety Center, 10150 Montgomery Road, at the corner of Montgomery and Hopewell Roads.

Don’t be a burglary victim!
Over the past month the city has encountered two unrelated burglaries in the Pfeiffer Rd area, where in both cases the offender either entered through an unlocked exterior door or window. New Director Embraces Uniqueness of Montgomery
Tracy Roblero was appointed Community Development Director on January 1, 2015 by City Manager Wayne Davis, replacing Frank Davis who recently retired. Tracy joined the City of Montgomery in September of 2006 as the City Planner and has over ten years’ experience in public service.

Much activity has finally taken place at the southern gateway to our city. Stagnant for years and called a variety of names, such as the car dealer sites, Chevy site, Ford site, etc., this has been an ugly, blighted entrance to our otherwise beautiful community.

Learn the Lifelong Skills of CPR and First Aid
The Montgomery Fire Department is certified to teach both CPR and First Aid courses using the standards and criteria of the American Heart Association. These quarterly 4-hour classes meet on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
