Fire Department Offers Free Life-Saving Classes

The Montgomery Fire Department offers a quarterly four-hour Saturday class on CPR and First Aid, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The next class is scheduled November 9, with CPR training offered in the morning and First Aid training taught in the afternoon. Participants can attend just one session or stay for both.

Montgomery’s Parks are one of the City’s best assets. One reason the parks are so enjoyable is due to the Parks and Recreation Commission members. Over the past several months, the Commission has been working on a tree mapping project. The end result will be a map that identifies trees in the parks by type or species.
